FAQS

You used to be in Killarney Heights. Where are you located now?

Yes, we’ve moved around a little bit lately.
We were just trying to find the perfect place for all our gorgeous clients and realised ITS EXACTLY WHERE WE WERE!
All services are now at Allambie Heights and we will NOT be moving xx

What should I do before my tan?

50% of a successful sunless tan is how well you prepare and care for your tan. Your skin must be free of any moisturiser, oils, deodorants, make-up or perfumes before being sprayed. These products act as a barrier, which will stop the tan absorbing and working correctly on your skin.  Any waxing or shaving should be done at least 24 hours prior to your appointment to ensure the pores of your skin are closed. Leave as long as possible between your shower and your tan so your skin has time to cool and dry after your shower.

What should I wear to my appointment?

We recommend you wear dark, loose-fitting clothing as the full development of your spray tan will take up to two hours and any friction from tight clothing may affect the final result. Our solution is washable, so any excess bronzer should wash out of your clothing.

What do I wear for my spray tan?

Most people wear just a g-string to get the best tan possible, but this is a personal choice so wear what's comfortable for you. You may wear underwear, swimwear or not. Obviously, the more clothing you wear, the less you’ll be tanned.

How long will my appointment take?

Times can vary depending on the individual however an average appointment is approx. 20 minutes.

Do you spray tan men?

Absolutely! I love my male clients. I’m all for a little mystery though, so I kindly ask all our gorgeous guys to wear their own underwear or we can provide a male g-string.

What should I do after my tan?

Avoid activities that cause you to perspire more than normal as this will reduce the effect of the tanning solution. During the development time, you should not allow your skin to become wet. If your skin does get splashed dab dry, do not rub, then add a little bit of moisturiser to the affected area blending to an even colour.  It's also important to note that hormonal changes can affect the outcome of a tan. After the processing time, you can shower (water only) and remove the instant bronzer to reveal your beautiful new tan that has been developing underneath.

How can I make my tan last longer?

Use products that are sodium lauryl sulphate (SLS) free. SLS is the foaming agent in many products.  It has an irritating, drying effect on your skin and will reduce the life of your tan. After each shower apply a moisturiser to lock moisture into your skin or alternatively top up with a gradual tanner.

If I have a big event when should I have my tan?

We recommend having your tan 1-2 days ahead. This way you are free to have other services on the day.

I want to get my nails done. Should I do that before or after my tan?

Any nail service should be done BEFORE your tan. You’re polish wont be affected by your tan, but your tan will 100% be affected by a manicure or pedicure.

Is spray tanning safe?

Yes! Tanning with DHA is much safer than prolonged exposure to the sun. Sunless tanning is nontoxic and noncarcinogenic and has shown to be safe in FDA testing.

Is it okay to tan if I’m pregnant / breastfeeding?

As a mum-to-be, it’s only right to be cautious about the dos and don’ts during your pregnancy.  DHA is made from sugar cane and in the forty years of its use has no known problems. It does not penetrate other layers of your skin or enter your bloodstream. Our solution is eco-certified organic and infused with goodness for a more healthy-looking bronze.   If you are breastfeeding, we recommend bringing nipple shields to be held over the nipple while your breasts are being sprayed.

Do I need to wear sunscreen after my tan?

Yes! Although the solution will give you a perfect, natural-looking tan it does not offer protection from the sun's harmful rays. You should still use protection.
